During root canal preparation with Chlorhexidine digluconate 2%, it is recommended to use preparations containing disodium edetate (EDTA), for example Endo-Prep.
Caution! While rinsing root canals, it is necessary to rinse with physiological saline between rinsing sodium hypochlorite and chlorhexidine digluconate. It prevents from precipitating of a tawny deposit. Rinse copiously.
Danger:
- Causes serious eye irritation.
- Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
Prevention:
- Avoid release to the environment.
- Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
- IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
- If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/ attention.
- Dispose of contents/container to properly labeled waste containers in accordance with national legislation.
Storage:
- Store in a dry place.
- Keep only in original packaging.
- Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed.
- Keep cool.
- Protect from sunlight.
